Neophyte Glyphmaker
The Neophyte Glyphmaker is has a general grounding in Glyphics, but their focus is split by some other pursuit. With time they might decide to emphasize their Magic more, but in the meantime hopefully some hybrid of their Magic and their more mundane pursuits will see them through.
Glyphics is a more adventure-friendly variant of Runecrafting, and a well desinged Glyphmaker can contribute a lot to most any adventuring group.

Glyphmakers learn Glyphs, which they can then evoke upon objects made of wood, metal, and stone. They use these Glyphs to make powerful but temporary static effects. Glyphmakers do not alter the surface of the object they place a Glyph on; they merely evoke a Magical Symbol on the surface which disappears after its Magic is expended. The Glyphs can be quite colorful and complex.
