An auspex is a class of hand held scanners, with a variety of built in active and passive sensors. They're so simple to use even Astra Militarum troopers can manage it!

When making the Detect (Basic) action, a fighter equipped with an Auspex can detect traps (Frag, Gas, and Melta) within 12'', can detect if a container within 6'' holds loot, and gains +D3 to attempts to detect Hidden fighters.
