STATUS: ON HIATUS: Chitin's player bowed out of roleplaying in general, but
has an open invitation to come back when ready.

A 15 year old science geek, bitten by a chemically altered mutant stag beetle! A
few moments of concentration and he grows massively into a hulking man-beetle complete
with Exo-skeleton and exponential strength! He can even pop out insectoid wings
and take flight (erratically)!

In his HERO ID he has trouble speaking intelligibly, so doesn't say much,
and hides his real age from the other Heroes. He has a very high intelligence, being
a major science fair geek in his secret id, and sometimes catches people by surprise
with his unbricklike planning.

Chitin is a classic Hero ID superbrick. In his mild-mannered Secret ID he's a kid,
but he changes into a hulking, super strong and tuff bug person. He has fantastic
protection vs. blunt damage, significantly less vs. Energy, and a keen vulnerability
to slashing damage.

|
He also has a bizarre insectile olfactory awareness of his surroundings making him
almost impossible to ambush. Finally, he has a very impressive fast healing capability.

Substantially stronger than Rook, Chitin is more of a traditional flying brick (though
his appearance is a bit unusual). Faster and better coordinated than Rook, and better
able to shrug off low and mid range damage (being built around Armor rather than
Damage Reduction like Rook), Chitin was better at taking out groups while Rook was
generally better at taking out bosses and other hard single targets. Despite some
overlap, Rook and Chitin worked out very well when they were both active, complementing
each other rather than competing.
