Description:

Peng is very stern and hard with most people, and is both arrogant and overconfident, with a bit of a swagger. Some of this is just street tude, but he really is pretty damn sure of himself. He's had the good luck to always come out on top and has yet to fight someone better than him at a scrap. One day he might meet a person capable of thrashing him, but in the meantime he has the unshakeable certainty of the undefeated.

Peng is very ambitious and is determined to be a top echelon Runner by age 35. He's made good progress thus far, helped along by Molly's ability to patch him up and to attract contracts that might have gone to other Scrappers otherwise. He's not too bright, but he has a certain levelheaded common sense and strength of personality that gets him through most challenges in life.

Peng has some mild cybernetics, but his primary capability revolves around his skill at hand to hand and close up combat. He moves extremely well in combat and has peak human reflexes. He is able to deliver extremely punishing blows, which are made even more powerful by the weighted knuckles and reenforced hand bones he had installed years ago.

He is easily capable of taking on two or three less skilled opponents, and has done so on many occasions. However he has had a harder time versus more augmented opponents on occasion.

Peng carries a Gallo .50 AE with a silencer and a vibro knife that he is able to do some very unpleasant things with.

ORIGIN
Born in 2007 in the Concrete Jungle of SanSan's L.A. sector to an Asian family of mixed origin, mostly Chinese. Peng grew up on the streets, running in various gangs. He eventually developed a brutal and effective fighting style of his own from a combination of stuff he learned from his dad when he wasn't in jail, hours spent in immersive martial arts flicks, and raw athleticism and soon earned a reputation as a tough kid capable of being a real mean son of a bitch.

As his ability to scrap became well known and he grew into his later teens Peng left the small time street gangs behind and got work as a tough in a Triad gang. His mother had passed away and with his dad in jail on a long stretch, Peng was left as the sole provider for his little sister Liu and needed the added income working for the Triads earned.

That payed off for a couple of years and Peng probably could have pursued a career in the Triad, but he had ambitions of his own. He had always been a huge fan of Runner movies and was determined to be one. After cutting his teeth in the Triad he earned enough money for a set of weighted knuckles which magnified his martial arts ability nicely, and after those healed he left the Triad and got started picking up Runs. Eager to prove himself he took several jobs no one else wanted to touch due to their low reward to risk ratio and gritted thru them. After a quick succession of these jobs he was able to afford some dermal plating and after nearly getting gacked on a night Run he got a decent set of Cybereyes.

However, unable to afford the convalescence time for the Cybereyes he went home to heal on his own, and the implant got infected. Peng started running a high fever and was very sick, but the strange neighbor girl his sister Liu had befriended, Molly, came over and healed him with her metahuman healing ability. Thunderstruck by the potential being wasted by the girl struggling to make ends meet in a run down flop house in the slums of the Concrete Jungle, Peng became determined to marshal her towards more productive means.

Initially he just got her to heal some other Runners undergoing cyber work or shot up from Runs, pocketing a cut and giving the girl the difference, but eventually he was able to get her to go on some milder Runs with him, and finally full scale Runs as her confidence increased. Originally it was just business, but Peng has become quite attached and protective of Molly since then, showing her a soft side of his nature he had previously reserved only for his sister Liu.

The two of them have become an effective Runner duo, and they contract a lot of Runs from Fixers eager to include Molly's unique talents for dangerous jobs. Peng is a skilled Scrapper, but Molly is something special; together they are a highly marketable commodity. Peng manages their joint finances and plans to have enough to move them out of the Jungle and into a private residence in a nicer neighborhood soon. Though he would be loathe to admit it, he's become a bit smitten by Molly, but knows she isnt ready for a relationship and keeps things chaste.
