PSYCH EVAL
Ito is a consumate professional. Relaxed, well mannered, and unflinchingly polite to even his enemies he is a classy guy. His Shogushin habits lend him further old-world mystique and people are often well-taken by him. He is careful to never unduly offend, and to never make things personal. He's gone so far as to gift useful data to people he's crossed in the past as part of a job as a way of making amends. As he says, business is business, but there's no reason not to be mangnanimous when it costs you little. Due to his all-around uprightness he's made a lot of friends and few real enemies, which is an impressive feat for a guy with over 200 runs to his credit over the span of almost 30 years.

While he used to be a real go-getter in his youth, Ito got wise after his first few years in the trade and only takes smart jobs and only when they are favorable. He avoids overly violent missions and any job with a high risk of really pissing off a mega. He actually makes a good deal of money acting as a consultant advising Runner teams, hooking up younger Hackers with the info they need, decrypting files a team has fetched, and other such support services; he's gotten to the point where he only actively participates in one or two real and carefully chosen Runs a year.

His programming style is very sparse and crisp; with a great economy and compactness of syntax and design. He believes in "think twice, code once", and does a lot of careful, structured thought first and then relentlessly codes out the picture in his mind. His code is almost always compiler perfect in one go, with very little and rare need to interactively debug and flesh it out. However, he is notoriously bad about not commenting his code at all; its so clear to him he feels no need to do so, which combined with the terseness makes his code difficult for lesser programmers to read.

PIZZAZ
Ito is not a combatant at all, and feels no need to be one. In fact, he is very upfront about being a highly skilled specialist. And so he is; Ito is very well skilled in the art of computer programming with a broad and diverse mastery of languages and aspects to apply them within. He is also a careful and wily hacker, and is very adept at hiding his traces; his intrusions are rarely detected.

Ito has a cybernetic PDA installed including a Brainjack, and uses a Fuchi-karawa Viper Auto Tracker, though he goes months between actually drawing the weapon as he considers it somewhat distasteful and uncivilized.

Ito has made a _lot_ of money over the years, but he constantly (re)invests it, keeping only enough funds fluid to be flexible. He continuously seeks out and prepares safehouses around San San and sometimes beyond; anywhere he can get at or covertly install a direct access NET Terminal is a good candidate for a safehouse. He feels that having direct access to his own Terminal allows him significant advantages including being unlisted in the NAD giving him an extra layer of anonymity. White-hats (anti-hackers) working for a serious MegaCorps likely have resources to track down an unlisted NAD with some effort and expense, but not easily and the extra time it would take them to do so could be a life saving luxury. Some are apartments, some are condos, some are stand-alone dwellings, some are behind or above businesses, and he's even used false office fronts from time to time as well. Experience has proven the value of a good bolthole to Ito and he never has fewer than five ready to go at a moments notice. He is very careful to never over-use a safehouse so as to avoid exposing it and always has at least two that he's never used before on tap. If he ever has reason to suspect a safehouse is compromised or even just gone stale (i.e. he's had it too long), he immediately discards it and seeks out a replacement.

Ito is extremely well connected and set up. He has shares in many small businesses of all stripes, and knows lots of people. He's well established in the Shogushin, and has a business relationship with dozens of infobrokers. Ito also maintains standing arrangements with armored coach / livery services and emergency medical extraction services ensuring that he can get transportation and if necessary medical attention when he needs it. Being a non-combatant he is perfectly comfortable hiring on a very competent bodyguard if he feels he needs it, such as when he needs to personally accompany a Run or when he needs to move about in public and can't do so covertly. He currently has a very good relationship with the fearsome NuBushi Gretchen-san and often retains her services as a bodyguard. He also has established good relationships with Unger's protege Xander. Ito used to be tight with Unger, but the two had a sort of falling out over a tanked business venture and that rift has not yet been fully healed.

Ito maintains a constant crop of ready-to-go laptops which he treats as basically disposable. He never uses the same laptop for more than one Run, and constantly recycles "compromised" boxes, a practice he cites as being conducive to untraceability.
