PSYCH EVAL
Obsessively focused and driven to a level that is almost a psychosis. Gretchen has bought into the idea of Samurai honor full force, to an extent that even other NuBushi consider to be extreme. Particularly around the idea of losing face for not showing acceptible levels of stoic resolve towards violent conflict. She is relatively quick to engage, almost never withdraws, and fights to the death unless something else interferes.

Born on the streets, Gretchen had a rough and unsavory life until she was 15, which she never speaks of. Fortunately for her, she was taken under the wing of a NuBushi wanderer named Sato-san due to a chance display of fighting spirit vs a rape gang. Sato-san cleaned her up, and trained her in the ways of the Shugoshin and the NuBushi. Gretchen became a devoted follower of the movement and a decade later is a fully trained Master of Kenjutsudo and widely recognized within her order as being worthy of deep respect as a NuBushi.

She has three years of experience Running but doesn't work often; she has completed nine runs thus far. She doesn't self promote and most people that have faced her are dead, so she doesn't have much street cred, but people that have worked with her hold her in high esteem. She gets most of her work thru either Xander or Beckett.

PIZZAZ
Gretchen-san is a highly skilled master of the Kenjutsudo art. Incredibly deadly with her laser-sharpened katana in hand; she regularly hacks off limbs with it. She has mastered the NuBushi art of hyper-focusing her mind and can accomplish amazing feats using it. She has several silk-steel outfits cut in kimono styles in the fashion of her sect. Other than that she travels light; her only concession to modern technology is a phone.
