To use Biofeedback Training (BFT) at all a character must have at least one instance
of Cramming, Improved Cramming, or Martial Cramming which can be thought of individually
as BFT slots. Hardcore users of BFT typically have several such slots of one or
more types. For instance a particular character might have three Improved Cramming
skills, and a Martial Cramming skill.

In the MetaCyber setting a character using Biofeedback Traing is very flexible and
able to tailor their current skill set quickly to the task at hand. In addition
to the standard usage of the Cramming, Improved Cramming, and Martial Cramming Skills, further
advantages are realized via BFT as described below.

Biofeedback Cramming
|
With BFT each Cramming Level can be used to temporarily grant one of the following
benefits:
|
- +1 with any one known Skill
- Familiarity (8-) with any one standard Skill
- 1 point of fluency in an unknown Language
- 1 point to increase the fluency of a known language
|
With BFT two Cramming Levels can be pooled together to temporarily grant one of
the following benefits:
|
- 1 Improved Cramming Level
- 1 Martial Cramming Level
|
Biofeedback Improved Cramming
|
With BFT each Improved Cramming Level can be used to temporarily grant one of the
following benefits:
|
- +1 with a tight group of skills
- +3 with any one known Skill
- Any one (CHAR/5) Skill; all relevant Skill levels are applicable; for skills with
subgroups up to 4 points are available to allocate to them
- Up to 5 points of fluency in a unknown Language
- Distribute up to 5 points to increase the fluency of known languages

With BFT two Improved Cramming Levels can be pooled together to temporarily grant
one of the following benefits:

- +1 Overall Level
- Any one (CHAR/5) Skill; all relevant Skill levels are applicable; for skills with
subgroups up to 10 points are available to allocate to them

Biofeedback Martial Cramming
|
With BFT each Martial Cramming Level can be used to temporarily grant one of the
following benefits:
|
- +1 with HtH
- +1 with Range
- +1 with DCV
- Any one Combat Skill or Martial Maneuver with a cost of 5 points or less; all relevant
Damage Classes are applicable

With BFT two Martial Cramming Levels can be pooled together to temporarily grant
one of the following benefits:
|
- +1 All Combat Level
- +3 Combat Levels with a tight group
- Any one Combat Skill with a cost of 10 points or less

Biofeedback Rapid Learning
|
A character that has "crammed" a particular skill or ability with BFT at least three
times and currently has that ability "crammed" may just pay the character points
for that ability to permenantly add it to their character sheet. This frees up the
Cramming Skill being used to hold that ability immediately and the character can
use it to emulate some other ability. In this fashion a BFT user can rapidly develop
their knowledge and capabilities without going through normal periods of training
and learning.

However, any normal restrictions, such as the minimum Martial Arts buy-in of 10 points,
must be observed.

EXAMPLE: A BFT user with Martial Cramming spends the rig time to cram Leg Sweep
several times. The player realizes that they are fond of the capability of this
manuever and decides to go ahead and invest character points to make it a permanent
part of the character's repetoire. Since the character has used BFT to cram that
manuever three or more total times and currently has it crammed, and assuming the
character already has at least 10 points in Martial Arts, all that is necessary
is to pay the 3 points for the manuever and annotate it on the character's sheet.
The Martial Cramming Skill is immediately freed up and can be used to cram something
else, and the character did not have to go through any real physical training over
a prolonged time to learn how to do it the "hard way".
