The Fated Few, Chosen Ones, Nexi of Potentiality, Children of Destiny, Kids of Kismet,
etc. Some rare people are just marked for greater things, some important purpose,
a role to play to fruition towards some unknowable future.

Such characters are the subjects of a prophesy; players should work with the GM
to construct a suitable prophesy or purpose, inject it into a historical and / or
mythological context, and determine what sort of special abilities or benefits it
might justify the character to have.

Failing that, just make a suitable character and "wing it", letting the story play
out and interpreting a "destiny" with the benefit of hindsight.

Prophesized characters are often quite difficult to kill or permanently harm and
often benefit from unusual luck, at least until their prophesy has been fulfilled.
