Divination Spells

Arcane Spell (Divination, Illusion), Glamer

Create advantage while Carefully Arcane vs an Average (+1) difficulty to create a spell Aspect on a target zone called Alarum for 1 scene or until all invocations are used. When I do this, I note a list of people who will not set off the alarm and I also decide if the alarm will be audible and how loud or if it will instead just mentally alert me. While the Aspect is active any person or thing other than those I listed as exceptions causes a magical alarm to go off. The Aspect can be detected with mystical senses, and can be overcome by appropriate magic; the difficulty to do either is determined as normal per the simple magic guidelines.

Arcane Spell (Divination), Buff

Create advantage while Carefully Arcane vs a Great (+4) difficulty to create a spell Aspect on myself called Communicate for one (1) scene or until all invocations are used. While this Aspect is active I can magically understand spoken and written languages that I do not know and also communicate using them with competent fluency. I may invoke the spell Aspect to allow an additional person per invoke to gain this benefit as well.

Arcane Spell (Divination), Buff

Create advantage while Carefully Arcane vs a Fantastic (+6) difficulty to create a spell Aspect on myself called Greater Communicate until all invocations are used. While this Aspect is active I can magically understand spoken and written languages that I do not know and also communicate using them with perfect fluency and great eloquence. I may invoke the spell Aspect to allow an additional person per invoke to gain this benefit as well. I may also invoke the spell Aspect to gain social bonuses based upon my eloquence.

Arcane Spell (Divination), Buff

Create advantage while Carefully Arcane vs a Average (+1) difficulty to create a spell Aspect on myself called Comprehend for one (1) scene or until all invocations are used. While this Aspect is active I can magically understand spoken and written languages that I do not know. I may invoke the spell Aspect to allow an additional person per invoke to gain this benefit as well.

Arcane Spell (Divination)

Create advantage while Cleverly Arcane vs a Mediocre (+0) difficulty to add the spell Aspect Detect Magic to myself. While this Aspect is active I can justify using my Arcane capability to notice things that require mystical senses to perceive. I can also invoke the Aspect for a bonus to do so as necessary. This Aspect lasts for a scene or until no invocations remain.

Arcane Spell (Divination)

Create advantage while Cleverly Arcane vs a Mediocre (+0) difficulty to add the spell Aspect Detect Mind-Affecting to myself. While this Aspect is active I can justify using my Arcane capability to notice mind-affecting effects being used and those who are already under a mind-affecting effect. I can also invoke the Aspect for a bonus to do so as necessary. This Aspect lasts for a scene or until no invocations remain.

Arcane Spell (Divination)

Create advantage while Cleverly Arcane vs a Mediocre (+0) difficulty to add the spell Aspect Detect Poison to myself. While this Aspect is active I can justify using my Arcane capability to notice poisons and the effects of poisons. I can also invoke the Aspect for a bonus to do so as necessary. This Aspect lasts for a scene or until no invocations remain.

I may overcome while Cleverly Arcane to notice hidden doors (and similar difficulties) in my zone.

Arcane Spell (Divination), Prepared

While Carefully Arcane I may attempt to overcome a Fantastic (+6) difficulty to detect any hidden, concealed, or secret doors, devices, traps, compartments, wards, magical guards, and so on in my zone. My result takes a -2 shift penalty and is then applied privately by the GM to the difficulty to overcome of each detectable hidden thing in my zone. The GM then describes to me all of the things I was able to detect in this way. I may spend any number of Fate Points when casting this spell; each Fate Point spent extends the radius of the effect by one more ring of adjacent zones. I am mystically aware of the location of the things I detected where they were at when I detected them, even if deprived of my senses, with perfect and accurate recall, for a scene.

Arcane Spell (Divination), Prepared

While Carefully Arcane I may attempt to overcome a Legendary (+8) difficulty to detect any hidden, concealed, or secret doors, devices, traps, compartments, wards, magical guards, and so on in my zone and all adjacent zones. My result takes a -2 shift penalty and is then applied privately by the GM to the difficulty to overcome of each detectable hidden thing in my zone and each adjacent zone. The GM then describes to me all of the things I was able to detect in this way. I may spend any number of Fate Points when casting this spell; each Fate Point spent extends the radius of the effect by one more ring of adjacent zones. I am mystically aware of the location of the things I detected where they were at when I detected them, even if deprived of my senses, with perfect and accurate recall, for a full day.

Arcane Spell (Divination), Prepared

While Carefully Arcane I may attempt to overcome a Great (+4) difficulty to detect any hidden, concealed, or secret doors, devices, traps, compartments, wards, magical guards, and so on in my zone. My result takes a -2 shift penalty and is then applied privately by the GM to the difficulty to overcome of each detectable hidden thing in my zone. The GM then describes to me all of the things I was able to detect in this way. I may spend any number of Fate Points when casting this spell; each Fate Point spent extends the radius of the effect by one more ring of adjacent zones. I am mystically aware of the location of the things I detected where they were at when I detected them, even if deprived of my senses, with perfect and accurate recall, for three (3) exchanges.

Arcane Spell (Divination)

While Cleverly Arcane I may name a person or object or thing that I am familar with and then overcome a Superb (+5) difficulty. If successful I become magically aware of which direction the thing I named is in (relative to me), and approximately how far away they are (near, far, very far). I retain this awareness for up to five (5) exchanges after casting this spell.

Arcane Spell (Divination), Buff

Create advantage while Cleverly Arcane vs a Great (+4) difficulty to create a spell Aspect on myself called Find Weakness for one (1) scene or until all invocations are used. While this Aspect is active whenever an opponent in my zone takes a consequence, I gain a free invoke on that consequence. I may also invoke this Aspect for a bonus when attack an opponent in my zone, or to compel a consequence of an opponent in my zone.

Arcane Spell (Divination)

Create advantage while Carefully Arcane vs a Fantastic (+6) difficulty to apply the spell Aspect Foresight to myself until all invocations are used. While this Aspect is active I can justify using Arcane to defend against any kind of attack or use of create advantage targeting me, or to overcome any spell Aspect or similar ability affecting me, and I gain a +2 bonus when I do so. This Aspect may also be invoked to offer additional protection when relevant.

While Cleverly Arcane I may overcome a Good (+3) difficulty to become magically aware of any outsiders within three (3) zones of myself, which direction they are in (relative to me), approximately how many (one, few, many, horde), and approximately how far away they are (near, far, very far). I retain this awareness for up to five (5) exchanges after casting this spell.

While Cleverly Arcane I may overcome a Good (+3) difficulty to become magically aware of any undead within three (3) zones of myself, which direction they are in (relative to me), approximately how many (one, few, many, horde), and approximately how far away they are (near, far, very far). I retain this awareness for up to five (5) exchanges after casting this spell.

Create advantage while Cleverly Arcane vs an Average (+1) difficulty to create a spell Aspect on myself called True Strike for one (1) scene or until all invocations are used. I may invoke this Aspect to improve my aim when making magical or physical attacks.
