Divine Favor: Because I am favored by my patron deity, I may add my Divine capability as a bonus to defend against physical attacks, unless I have recently done something unworthy of my faith.

Shield of Faith: Because I am favored by my patron deity, I may add my Divine capability as a bonus to defend against indirect attacks such as poisons and strange abilities and magic, unless I have recently done something unworthy of my faith.

Abadar, Sustain Me!: Because I am favored by my patron deity, when I am Carefully Divine I may pray for aid to clear a stress box or a Mild Consequence, or to downgrade a Moderate or Severe Consequence, by overcoming a difficulty equal to the stress box's or Consequence's numerical value. This only works on my own stress and Consequences, not that of others. If I fail to overcome the difficulty I may not attempt to clear the same stress box or heal the same Consequence again; I must wait for it to clear by other means. I cannot use this ability if I have recently done something unworthy of my faith

Jasper draws an ample salary, but he banks the portion he keeps (the remainder goes to charity and good works); he is rarely carrying more than 10 sp in loose pocket change. Very fine and well maintained field plate, a weighty mace, a shield (though he usually leaves this in his office), excellent clothing.

Jasper manages the Sandpoint Mercantile League, a job he does well in as it allows him to apply his head for details and keeping shipping schedules straight and his personable manner for dealing with people from all walks of life from the most arrogant nobles to the most humble muck-healed farmers bringing surplus turnips to ship to Magnimar. Jasper treats all with the same easy courtesy and polite respect.

Jasper stumbled upon and was sorely set aback by the interloping thug Kazzar, who brazenly raided the Sandpoint Mercantile League for reasons that have not yet been fully understood by anyone...perhaps including Kazzar himself.

Though Jasper had the edge in experience and forced Kazzar to flee several times, Kazzar proved to be the more durable and the two were well matched. They fought a back and forth personal war over the course of a couple of hours as Kazzar made attempt after attempt at pillaging the League building. Jasper would have been defeated were it not for his favor with Abadar allowing him to heal himself, and he still ended their last encounter with a severe wound that required clerical administration.
