"The Druid
is a priest of nature and guardian of the wilderness, be it forest, plains,
or jungle." Protectors of the wild, Druids are masters of interacting with
the natural forces of the world. Due to their roles as protectors of their
world's ecosystems, Druids often act to maintain what they generally call
"Balance", meaning an ideal centering of all things. They seek this Balance
both in small and large matters; it is their primary concern in almost all
things. |
The pursuit
of maintaining a balanced ecosystem occassionally causes Druids to assist
and protect dangerous predators and even "evil" creatures and Races. Some
Druids take a belief in Natural Selection to extremes, and actively
encourage strife rather than acting to stop it from a belief that struggle
weeds out the unfit and strengthens the survivors, but such extremists are
usually the exception. |
In some
worlds, or some regions within a world, Druids organize themselves in to
elaborately hierarchical secret societies and orders. Check with your GM to
determine how Druids interact within their world before deciding to play
one. |
