GM NOTES |
Enforcers Inc. is intended to be a resource
for Champions GM's and can be used in many
different ways to supplement your game.
|
ENEMIES
|
At the most superficial level you could
ignore the back concept of Enforcers Inc.
entirely and simply use some or all of the
provided
characters for your own purposes,
tweaking them as needed.
|
BACKGROUND ELEMENT
|
In this style of use the idea of Enforcers
Inc. exists and is in use in the game, but
it is in the background and not a focus
of the campaign. It is purely a convenience
to the GM. The idea behind Enforcers Inc.
is that it is an easily explainable networking
element for matching super villains to jobs
that they don't have a direct stake in.
|
For instance this can come in handy at times
when the realities of a RPG indicates a
particular sort of threat should be used
as part of a scenario, but there is no logical
reason for such a character to be involved
directly, or for a protracted duration.
Problem solved: the real perpetrators of
the plotline simple hired some super-thugs
from Enforcers Inc.
|
REOCCURING VILLAINS |
Since the individual "consultants"
of Enforcers Inc. can easily be attached
to the plots of other villains that actually
mastermind / initiate crimes, they make
great candidates for easily reused reoccuring
villains |
ANTAGONISTS |
In this scenario the long term intent is
for the PC's to heroically try to seek out
Enforcers Inc, find out more about it, and
ultimately shut it down. There are many
possible permutations that this could take,
and different nuances of how hidden, subtle,
entrenched, resourceful, and insidious the
organization is -- from right up in your
face hiding behind loopholes in the law
and a vaneer of legitimacy, to extremely
covert, well connected, closely allied,
with politicians and law enformcement types
under their sway via money, extortion, and
blackmail and everything in between as suits
the GM's needs. |
In this usage, the actual employees of the
firm would need to be extended, and The
Machine would be used as more of a "Mastermind"
sort of villain, with Unger as his right
hand / go to guy, and the two bruisers Bronto
and Jackhammer as the primary muscle. They
of course could be further supplemented
by consultants as needed (either as presented
or as actual employees). |
