ORIGIN
Unger's past is a closely kept secret, and never revealed. He is a NSA operator that has been on a deep cover operation for almost ten years assigned to become accepted in criminal society and set up a rival operation to draw out the former KGB criminal mastermind called "The Fixer". In pursuit of that ends he has wormed his way into several criminal operations, gaining acceptance into inner circles with his superior operational skills and general competence. He has established himself as a top-notch hook-up man, skilled at networking and acquisitions, putting him in direct competition with his quarry.

Recently he heard about Enforcers Inc. and saw an excellent opportunity to take his shadow war against The Fixer to the next level. Unger allows The Machine to be the figurehead and active partner, but the entire operation depends heavily on Unger's networking skills. Whenever possible Unger pushes the firm into deeper waters, working to ensure that the firm horns in on the Fixer's mercenary trade and eventually bring matters to a direct confrontation between the two groups.

Unger's angle of using Enforcers Inc as a vehicle for rooting out a more dangerous criminal enterprise is one of the reasons the firm hasn't come under heavier federal scrutiny thus far, though there are some who wonder if Enforcers Inc. might not grow to be a bigger evil than The Fixer in the long run. Only time will tell...
