Where the Yullarians
excel at diplomacy for positive ends, the
Tassk are the opposite. They are conniving,
manipulative, racist, scheming, galactic
imperialists. In addition to being a general
thorn in the side of civilized space, they
continuously bicker and fight amongst each
other. Their lack of strong racial unity
and selfishness is the greatest check upon
their power, and they only routinely band
together in defense of their homeworld or
when fighting the Kataan. If you are attacked
by pirates, there is a 50/50 chance that
the pirate vessel captain is a Tassk. They
aim to kill everyone who will not bend to
their will, and enslave those who do.
Their physical
size and strength make them excellent melee
combatants. They can also coil their bodies
around a grabbed opponent constricting them,
a practice they commonly take when they’d
rather sell someone rather than kill them.
No form of warfare
is beneath the Tassk; their propensity for
revenge is also great. When the Faciri Homeworld
of Qima-Wali refused to fall, they infected
the planet with an organism that was good
at killing Faciri (and all other living
things). The organism reproduced so quickly
that Qima-Wali had to be evacuated of all
150 billion residents. Only about half made
it off the planet. Qima-Wali lost its status
as a civilized world and was renamed VYV-X.
The organism were named the Vivix for this
reason. The Taask then infected other Faciri
worlds, which still threatens the populations
on those planets. The Tassk flatly deny
any responsibility for this situation and
implicate the Kataan. Several Tassk slave
worlds have had Vivix outbreaks, but they
were quickly contained.
