The rogue is better than ever, and the subclasses are solid (though the Thief is very swingy, depending upon the availability of magic items). However, because the martial classes got buffed so much the rogue still somehow seems to be a little bit behind the power curve. The following tweaks to the base class are in effect at my table:
You gain a Fighting Style feat of your choice (see chapter 5). Whenever you gain a Rogue level, you can replace the feat you chose with a different Fighting Style feat.
You gain this feature as presented, but at level 14.
You gain this feature as presented, but at level 11.
The homebrewed Arcanoklept subclass offers an alternative Arcane Trickster, focused more on stealing knowledge, items, and power than in shenanigans. It does not replace Arcane Tricksters at my table, it is merely another option.
