Effect: Force is used to create or remove Assets or Complications related to a form of mystical energy that can be used to create solid magical manifestations that have material, corporeal characteristics and can be physically interacted with. At higher die ratings Force can be used on reactions to avoid being harmed by some attacks, and to attack with.
At d4 Force allows trivial control over a small volume of Force at near-touch range; for instance poking a hole in a Force construct.
At d6 Force allows minor control over existing Force energy or the creation of a Force energy within the character's zone; for instance creating a shield of Force energy, or creating a simple Force construct. This rating also allows Force to be used on reactions against attacks where the ability to create mobile magical Force shields may be helpful,
At d8 Force allows minor control over a larger area as well as more significant effects; for instance creating a wall of Force energy, creating large Force constructs such as giant 'hands' for grabbing or smashing things or a bunker made of Force energy, and the dissipation of existing Force effects. This rating also allows Force to be used as an attack as if it were the Ranged Ability.
At d10 Force allows significant control over Force effects over a very large area, capable of things like creating elaborate mazes made of Force walls, creating Force constructs with complex mechanical capabilities such as a functional wagon or ship or buildings with working doors and windows all made of Force energy, creating very large Force domes or Force walls that are selective in what they block and what they allow to pass through.
At d12 Force allows extreme control over Force effects; pretty much anything related to controlling or creating Force constructs is on the table.
Common SFX: The Immunity SFX vs magical attack can be applied to improve Force barriers.
The Absorption SFX can be applied to improve Force barriers.
The Second Chance SFX can be taken to represent the high accuracy of Force attacks.
Common Limits: Force is sometimes paired with the Spell Components Limit to represent the necessity for mystic passes, incantations, and / or material components, but this is not required.
