Effect: Necromancy can be used to attack the living, the undead, and spirits by interfering with or draining their respective animating energies. Necromancy can be used defensively against attempts to affect a character's own life force. Necromancy can be used to favorably influence undead and spirits with a Tier that is less than your Necromancy step. Necromancy can also be used to emulate certain other abilities in specific ways, as indicated per step.
At d4 Necromancy you may attempt to detect living persons, undead, and spirits within your zone or an adjacent zone, even if you ordinarily would not be able to do so due to obstructions or abilities such as Invisibility.
At d6 Necromancy you may make an attack action versus a living person, undead, or spirit to transfer your Body Stress die to the target (effectively healing yourself and injuring the target); alternately you may spend a Plot Point to transfer your Body Trauma instead. However, you may only transfer Body Stress or Trauma that is less than your Necromancy step.
At d8 Necromancy you may use Necromancy as if it were Spells for the purpose of 'casting spells' with a necromantic theme.
At d10 Necromancy you may use Necromancy as if it were Summoning for the purpose of creating or calling undead and spirits with a Tier that is less than your Necromancy step.
At d12 Necromancy you may use Necromancy as if it were Mentalism for the purpose of controlling undead and spirits with a Tier that is less than your Necromancy step.
