Effect: Shrinking is usually used on reactions to avoid harm or Complications, and to provide narrative justification for doing things that characters of normal size are unable to.
A character's mass while using shrinking is relative to their current height; i.e. a character that is currently half as tall as normal has half as much mass, and so on.
At d4 Shrinking a character can decrease their own height by up to 10%.
At d6 Shrinking a character can decrease their own height by up to 50% (i.e. half). Additionally, at this step a character can step down Shrinking and use it as if it were Reflexes.
At d8 Shrinking a character can decrease their own height by up to 100% (i.e. sub 1 inch). Additionally, at this step a character can step down Shrinking and use it as if it were Invisibility.
At d10 Shrinking a character can decrease their own height by up to 1000%.
At d12 Shrinking a character can decrease their own height by up to 10000%.
Common SFX: The Normal Mass SFX can be applied to represent a character who retains their normal mass as they get smaller.
Common Limits: Using higher steps of Shrinking can become a Complication for a character; this does not warrant taking a Limit.
The Always On Limit can be applied to indicate that a character is always smaller and cannot turn off their Shrinking trait.
