Effect: Growth is usually used on reactions to avoid harm or Complications, and to provide narrative justification for doing things that characters of normal size are unable to.
At d4 Growth a character can increase their own height and mass by up to 25%.
At d6 Growth a character can increase their own height and mass by up to 50%. Additionally, at this step a character can step down Growth and use it as if it were Durability.
At d8 Growth a character can increase their own height and mass by up to 100% (i.e. double). Additionally, at this step a character can step down Growth and use it as if it were Strength.
At d10 Growth a character can increase their own height and mass by up to 500%. Additionally, at this step a character can step down Growth and use it as if it were Running or Stretching.
At d12 Growth a character can increase their own height and mass by up to 1000%. Characters larger than this should be treated as Large Scale Threats instead.
Common SFX: The Area Effect SFX is very common for Growth based characters to represent hitting multiple things with one swat of a giant hand or foot.
The Collateral Damage SFX can be applied to allow a character to keep an extra effect die when using Growth during an Action Scene and apply it as major structural damage to whatevever solid substance they are traveling across or as a Complication on the Scene.
Common Limits: Using higher steps of Growth can become a Complication for a character; this does not warrant taking a Limit.
The Always On Limit can be applied to indicate that a character always has extra size and mass and cannot turn off their Growth trait.
The Normal Mass Limit can be applied to represent a character who retains their normal mass as they get bigger.
