Some characters are more vigorous and death-resistant than others, resilient to poisons, toxins, and diseases, able to bounce back from injury, and to exert themselves for longer periods of time without getting fatigued.
Effect: Stamina is typically used on reactions against Complications or attacks that affect the character's health or staying power, and on recovery actions to reduce or remove one's own Body Stress or Body Trauma.
At d4 a character has a normal amount of resilience vs poisons and toxins, typical endurance, and recovers from minor injuries in a week to a month and might recover from major injuries in weeks or months if cared for and assisted.
At d6 a character has above average resilience and endurance, and recovers from minor injuries in a week or so and life threatening injuries in several weeks or a month with minimal medical care, and can operate at maximum effort for about an hour without fatigue.
At d8 a character has excellent resilience and endurance, recovers from minor injuries in about a day and life threatening injuries in a week or so even in non-optimal conditions and without medical care, is resistant to minor diseases, and can operate at maximum effort for many hours without fatigue.
At d10 a character has remarkable resilience and endurance, recovers from minor injuries in hours and life threatening injuries in days without need of medical care, is resistant to most normal diseases, and can operate at maximum effort for days without fatigue.
At d12 a character is practically immune to almost all toxins, poisons, diseases, and similar effects, effectively never gets fatigued, heals minor injuries in minutes, and heals even near-fatal injuries in hours without need of medical care or rest.
Common SFX: The Regeneration SFX can be applied to allow characters with higher steps of Stamina to rapidly recover from Body Stress and Trauma.
