My son and I have made the following custom Hero cards to extend our replay enjoyment of the very fun Marvel Legendary Deck Building game by Upper Deck.

We originally attempted to match the look and feel of the official card templates, but quickly decided we wanted to take advantage of the opportunity to get rid of the borders on the non-rare cards (which blocks the artwork), and to make the icons a little bigger to make them easier to see in the HQ without having to pick up the card and look at it.

Defenders
Dr. Strange

Still Supreme: note that a few Schemes cannot be lost to directly if Dr. Strange removes one or more Scheme Twists from the deck. Such is the power of Strange. Other loss conditions still apply.

Imperious Stare: you don't have to declare which Villain you intend to target when you play the card; you can wait until you resolve your Attack.

Valkyrie

Asgardian Battle Angel: the various 'shapeshifters' such as some of the Skrulls and similar characters have an Ambush ability that claims a Hero card and sets the Villain's Attack value in whole or part; if an Ambush of that type is cancelled the Villain gains +0 Attack.

The Black Knight

  • Deadly Lunge: if you use the ability to Defeat a Henchman in the City, any 'Fight' effect the Henchman has is not triggered.
  • The Ebony Blade: if you use the ability to defeat the Mastermind or a Villain, this does not count as an Attack; thus you may also KO any Wounds in your hand. Defeat does not trigger any 'Fight' effects a Villain might have, but it does trigger the Mastermind's Tactic.

Ms. Marvel

Determined Pursuit: if two or more players attempt to use the discard ability on the same escaping Villain, priority is given to the current player and then goes clockwise around the table (the player with the highest priority wins). If you Defeat an escaping villain with this ability neither their 'Escape' or 'Fight' effects are triggered.
