Appearance: Uthira is an attractive woman with long straight Auburn hair, tanned skin, and green eyes. She is poor, and thus wears a very simple and travel-worn skirt and halter in the Arutholese style.
Personality: Uthira broods a lot, is often sullen, and generally difficult to get along with. She is high strung and prone to intemperate actions, but also easily cowed and frightened.

She also does not like men, and has a tendency towards passive aggressive acts towards men...but only those she feels safe around. Any man that is even a little intimidating she avoids and evades.

Background: Uthira was apprenticed to a Peidregamasi in an Arutholese coastal village called Vares. However when she was 14 she was kidnapped from her home by sailors from Zishka. She was abused by the sailors and then sold into a brothel in Zishka itself. She managed to steal a few small gemstones from "customers" and the madame of the brothel, and continued her studies of Peidregamas in secret until she eventually escaped from the brothel at age 19.

She managed to survive and traveled along the coast to Villima. There she stowed away on a ship and ended up in Gorosh. In Gorosh she met a powerful Shamaness from Kaer-Na far to the north named Eal-Cha, who was visiting the island on a Spirit Quest. Eal-Cha took Uthira under her wing for most of a year and they had several adventures together on Isle of Gorosh and later on the mainland in Chur-An. Uthira learned the secrets of the Raven Totem under Eal-Cha's tutelage, and gained a Raven Companion named Vrari during this time.

Eventually however Eal-Cha returned to Kaer-Na, leaving Uthira to her own devices. Traveling into Zadesh she managed to find work as a caravan guard, and eventually ended up in Narana, the old capital of Arvanis and seat of the Zadeshi Vazura governing the region. From Narana she found work with another caravan headed for various cities in the Undari lands, eventually ending in far off Shidaal. However, Uthira's perennial bad luck and hatred of men caused her some difficulties and she was fired from the caravan in the Landrothi capital of Zerlaaga.

She has managed to learn a little bit of Undari, and struggles to make a living until she can find another job of some sort. Her only items of value are her gemstone foci, and of course if she sold them she would be unable to use her magic.
