Description:
An Undari of the Landroth region. Karptah's complexion is a vaguely orangish yellow, and his features more or less average for his race. He has bluish-black hair and a facial scar on his right cheek from a knife duel. He dresses richly, in a velvet maroon doublet with embroidery work, and cotton pants in the fashion of the Landrothi. He has a few minor rings and trinkets, and has a pair of very well made (stiletto) daggers with small ruby pommel-tops. He has two more dagger tucked away where they are difficult to see (assume a PER penalty of -5) and he has a Main Gauche reverse scabbarded behind his back and beneath a velvety blue cloak. He usually eschews armor, never having learned how to wear it properly.

Background: A member of a cadet branch of the "royal" family of Landroth, Karptah was inducted into the cult of Tzoruul relatively young. A trained duelist and socially skilled Karptah proved quite useful even aside from his tenuous ties to his nation's upper-crust.

Though Karptah profers to attack from hiding, he's no coward and is determined to see his Master's will done no matter the cost.
Powers/Tactics: Karptah is a dangerous knife fighter in a clutch, but will do everything possible to avoid a stand up fight unless its a one on one duel. He'll only use his Dark Gift in emergencies, believing it to be impious to abuse it.
Campaign Use: He was found worthy and given a Dark Gift by the High Priest and sent on a mission of utmost importance into the dangerous lands of the hated Machtig. Surrounded by brutal giants in an unknown land without even so much as speaking the language, Karptah knows that it must be a desperate mission he is embarked on indeed. He has to depend on the services of a translator acquired by the High Priest from another ally of his, and secretly from Ketkis. This makes him unhappy, and he is trying to learn Machtig as he goes but has no gift for languages.

Traveling through the Vold from Zerlaaga. Masquerading as the brother of Ketkis. Has a magical crystal that allows him to commune with the High Priest w/ Concentration and time -- its a ruby that has been turned black somehow. It raditates Chaos sign if looked for, but only when it's visible.
