The Yeti is a huge, burly, and very hairy middle aged man of rough aspect. He's obviously superhumanly strong, but does not have an attractively lean chiseled or body-builder physique; he's all raw bulk including a big but rock-hard gut. He dresses like a biker in jeans, leather boots, white t's, and a leather jacket when its cold enough to need one. He's no one's idea of a poster boy and not much to look at.

PERSONALITY & MOTIVATION
Lawrence is a good natured roughneck of a guy. He has the aura of someone who you don't want to mess about with, but he's not in-your-face or looking for trouble. He moves, acts, and thinks with great deliberation, and ruminates before speaking which is a trait that makes some think him mentally slow or stupid. He has great strength of will and force of personality, and is not easily shaken. Most are surprised to find that he doesn't drink alcohol and is entirely sober, but he's actually immune to the effects of alcohol (and other poisons), so there's no point in it for him and he doesnt really care for the taste. He's not particularly sympathetic, nor particularly idealistic, but he does have a healthy respect for order and a dislike of unnecessary commotion and troublemaking. He's gruffly kind to children and animals. All in all, he's not a lot of fun but a good guy underneath an imposing exterior.

The Yeti is a mutant with superhuman strength and durability. He continues to grow a little stronger and tougher, and corresponingly larger, each month; the increases are minimal but continuous, and over the course of each passing decade quite sizeable in their increases (most notably +1 STR, 1 resistant PD per year, scale other abilities). He can also see in the dark very well, and his bulk makes him hard to push around. In addition to his natural abilities, he also has years of professional experience as a bouncer in rough clubs and bars, and is very capable in dirty infighting.

ORIGIN
A mutant, Lawrence's powers are unusal in that he didnt get them all at once during puberty nor at birth. Rather he was born much as any normal person only slightly larger, stronger, and tougher than a typical baby but all well within human norms. With each passing year he was slightly more larger, stronger, and tougher. He continued to grow past his twenties, becoming marginally stronger, tougher, and bigger with each passing month, and also healing faster and better. Eventually, by his late twenties his capabilities were clearly superhuman but not remarkably so; he was stronger than olympic strongmen and basically immune to conventional harm. However, having a bit of an edge certainly came in handy in Lawrence's profession -- bouncer. He was easily the biggest, toughest, meanest looking bouncer around in whatever town he happened to be living in, and he never had problems getting work in that field. The Security Manager of a club he worked at back in the late 80's took to calling him the "Yeti", and the name stuck.

By his mid thirties he was approaching seven feet in height, weighed over 300 pounds, and could lift a motor cycle over his head one handed without effort. Now in his late 40's he's several inches past seven foot, weighs over four hundred pounds, and can lift tremendous weights over his head. He also suspects that he might be unkillable by conventional harm; though he doesn't know the limits of his durability he does know that he is bullet and knife proof, and a couple of years ago he walked away from a head on collision with a semi unscathed after a momentary blackout.

He still works as a bouncer, but he's begun to wonder if he might not be capable of bigger things. He doesn't have the look or youth of a typical superhero, but he's got years of experience in tough situations and thinks he might have the right stuff to go out and do some good with his unusual abilities. With that in mind he appeared for the AEGIS open trial, but they sent him packing without even allowing him to try out after one look at him due to "image" concerns.

Since then Lawrence has started fighting some crime on the side on his own. He has to work for a living most nights, but he's hit the streets about a dozen times now on his nights off, rousting street punks and gangbangers making trouble downtown and in the seedier parts of San Diego. He's been pretty successful thus far, as petty criminals and thugs can't really mount a creditable threat against him since he is effectively immune to the kind of hardware available to them. Time will tell if the Yeti has what it takes to be a hero.
